Winter depicted as a medieval queen. This is exactly how I imagined winter as a child — majestic and stern, with a tall medieval truffo orfovre hairstyle and, of course, with a bullfinch. I believed these birds appeared only in winter, as I never saw them in summer.
The painting is part of a series called «4 Seasons 4 Souls». I dedicated it to portrait images of the seasons. The series fulfilled a long-held dream of mine. As a child, I was inspired by Alphonse Mucha’s «The Seasons» cycle and dreamed of creating my own interpretation of this theme.
The painting was exhibited at the international exhibition «Saint Petersburg Art Week 2022»; at the exhibition «By the Selfie Method» in Moscow; at the international exhibition «Talent of Russia 2022» at the New Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; at the annual exhibition of professional artists of Serpukhov «Autumn Vernissage 2023»; at the exhibition «Christmas Palette 2025» at the A.S. Pushkin State Museum, as well as at four solo exhibitions.
AWARD: 1st place in the international contemporary art competition «Saint Petersburg Art Week 2022».
