A. Aleksandrovsky was born in 1951 in Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg. He has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1996. A. Aleksandrovsky's creative journey began in the 1970s with classes in a studio led by the excellent draftsman Vladimir Ivanovich Stetsenko. His initial artistic explorations were inspired by his acquaintance with the paintings of Édouard Manet at an impressionist exhibition from Paris museums in 1972. The work of Russian painter Konstantin Alekseevich Korovin had a strong influence on the emerging artist's painting style. In 1983, A. Aleksandrovsky enrolled in the painting faculty of the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. From 1985, he studied in the personal workshop of the People's Artist of the USSR, Professor Boris Sergeevich Ugarov. The second mentor in the workshop was the remarkable colorist, People's Artist of Russia Viktor Iosifovich Reikhet. In 1989, A. Aleksandrovsky defended his diploma with the painting "During the Civil War" (175x240 cm, canvas, oil). Since 1996, A. Aleksandrovsky has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, actively working in various genres: landscape, still life, portrait, and genre painting. His paintings are created within the tradition of realistic painting while also possessing a distinctive personal style. This was acknowledged with a "special gratitude" from His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II following the Valaam plein air exhibition in 2006. The artist is a regular participant in projects such as "По Святым местам," "Русская Атлантида," "Европа в русском сердце," and many others, and is a member of the art group of the Union of Artists called "Очарованые странники." A. Aleksandrovsky's works are held in many private collections in Russia, China, Europe, and America.
