Interestingly, this painting was done with a minimum of brushstrokes and paint, but truly professorial brushstrokes they were!
As I always tell my colleagues: If you're using flat brushes larger than Russian number 12 (European 1/2 inch), always use a brush one size larger than you can imagine in the wildest flight of your painter's imagination, and paint with the edge if needed, at different angles. Don't get the flat brush dirty, but get only as much paint on it as the brushstroke asks for.
From a photo of my painting when the oils were still wet, Lana B’ury of New York City promptly made several digital collages on her phone when she was in Florida on vacation. She wasn’t sleeping! At three o'clock in the morning EST!

All my pictures are ready to hang, wired with a steel cord/wire. In fact, I provided hanging wires on all 4 sides of this picture because you may wish to hang it upside down or on the side –abstraction is benign to orientation change.
I paint only in pure oil paints, without additives, thickeners, mediums. I've never used any chemicals and never will!
My paintings are wired with professional gold colored craft hanging wire (Holland) mounted in D-ring hangers (Holland) on all intended sides. The image is continued on the edges (gallery canvas stretching), thus a frame is not needed, it is optional.
