Interestingly, this painting was made with a minimum of brushstrokes and paint, but truly masterful brushstrokes they were!
As I always tell my colleagues: If you're using flat brushes larger than Russian number 12 (European 1/2 inch), always use a brush one size larger than you can imagine in the wildest flight of your painter's imagination, and paint with the edge if needed, at different angles. Don't get the flat brush dirty, but load only as much paint as the brushstroke requires.

I paint only in pure oil paints, without additives, thickeners, or mediums. I've never used any chemicals and never will!
My paintings are wired with professional gold-colored craft hanging wire (Holland) mounted in D-ring hangers (Holland) on all intended sides. The image continues onto the edges (gallery canvas stretching), so a frame is not needed, it is optional.
