The epigraph for this painting is a quote by Henry David Thoreau: "Happiness is capricious and unpredictable, like a butterfly: when you try to catch it, it slips away, but if you take your eyes off it, it will gently land right in your hands."
This painting is part of the series "4 Seasons. 4 Souls," dedicated to the portrait representations of the seasons. This series is the realization of a long-held dream. In my childhood, I was inspired by the cycle "The Seasons" by Alphonse Mucha and dreamt of creating my own interpretation of this theme.
The painting was featured in the book "Revelation" by the St. Petersburg poetess Nastya Yakovleva. It has been exhibited at the "Talent of Russia 2022" international exhibition in Moscow, the "Autumn Vernissage" 2023 exhibition for professional artists in Serpukhov, the "Wow!" 2023 exhibition at the Zdes Gallery in Taganka, Moscow, and at several solo exhibitions.
