As an epigraph, I chose a quote by Henry David Thoreau: "Happiness is capricious and unpredictable, like a butterfly: when you try to catch it, it slips away from you, but as soon as you get distracted — it lands right in your hands."
The painting is part of a cycle called "4 seasons 4 souls." I dedicated it to the portrait images of the seasons. The series fulfilled my long-standing dream. As a child, I was inspired by Alphonse Mucha's cycle "The Seasons" and dreamed of creating my own interpretation of this theme.
The painting was included in the book "Revelation" by St. Petersburg poet Nastya Yakovleva. It was exhibited at the international exhibition "Talent of Russia 2022," Moscow; the professional artists’ reporting exhibition of Serpukhov "Autumn Vernissage" 2023; the exhibition "Wow!" 2023 at the Gallery Here on Taganka, Moscow, as well as at solo exhibitions.
