In my work, I explore the theme of movement and freedom embodied in the image of a yacht. Sails filled with wind become a metaphor for aspirations, overcoming boundaries, and seeking new horizons. I wanted to convey not just an interesting perspective, but a sense of flight, aspiration, unity with nature, and the inner uplift a person experiences when challenging the elements.
The sea — a symbol of infinity, changeability, and the power of nature.
The sails — the embodiment of a dream, striving forward, lightness, and at the same time power.
The light — a key element of the composition, creating a feeling of hope and inspiration, a point of attraction.
The contrast of movement and stillness — the turbulent sea and the orderliness of the deck, the dynamics of the sails and the static ship details-fasteners that provide stability (our supports in life).
«Towards a dream» — is an ode to freedom, the power of aspiration and spirit, the beauty of the world around us. This work invites the viewer not only to admire the seascape (which is secondary) but also to reflect on their own «sails» — goals and aspirations that lead us forward in life despite any «storms» along the way. I hope the painting will evoke an emotional response in the viewer and inspire new discoveries.
