In my work, I explore the theme of movement and freedom embodied in the image of a yacht. The sails, filled with wind, become a metaphor for aspirations, overcoming boundaries, and seeking new horizons. I wanted to convey not just an interesting perspective, but the feeling of flight, striving, unity with nature, and the inner uplift that a person experiences when challenging the elements.
The sea — a symbol of infinity, changeability, and the power of nature.
The sails — the embodiment of dreams, forward movement, lightness, and at the same time, power.
Light — a key element of the composition, creating a sense of hope and inspiration, a point of attraction.
The contrast of movement and stillness — the turbulent sea and the orderliness of the deck, the dynamics of the sails and the static ship’s fastening details that provide stability (our supports in life).
«Towards a dream» is an ode to freedom, the power of aspiration and spirit, and the beauty of the world around us. This work invites the viewer not only to admire the seascape (which is secondary) but also to reflect on their own «sails» — goals and aspirations that lead us forward in life despite any «storms» along the way.
