Dangauerovka (also known as Dangauerovskaya Sloboda) is a district in Moscow located in Lefortovo, formed as a workers' settlement («sotsgorodok») between 1928 and 1932. It is currently being reconstructed and gradually regaining its original appearance. Walking through this area, seeing the renovated facades of houses, breathing in the spring scent of fresh paint familiar from childhood, you are transported through time, into another reality, into the city of the first five-year plans or the scenes from Marlen Khutsiev's film «I Am Twenty».
It is precisely here, according to the script, that the main character of the film lived. Such emotions inspired me to create this laconic composition, with a diagonal rising from left to right, symbolizing the positive spirit of social optimism and the creative enthusiasm of the first five-year plans, expressed in the form of early Soviet modernism.
