This original work, "A high-rise building Night," was created by contemporary Russian artist Natasha SWAY and is available for purchase online.
A semi-abstract piece in monochrome, where black, white, and all shades of grey engage in a dialogue.
The composition is based on contrast. In the center, like a cold giant, the pointed spire of the Stalinist high-rise rises into the night sky. Its facade is not detailed but constructed from rough, textured strokes; only the tiers and characteristic crests are suggested, dissolving into the darkness. Beneath it—a bridge, only a hint of a railing. Car headlights pierce through the night. These light traps are reflected in a strange way on the wet asphalt, turning the roadway into a trembling mirror. Long, sweeping white strokes merge and intertwine, creating a dynamic, almost musical rhythm.
All of this is reflected in the dark, almost black water of the river, where the clear shapes of the sky and city dissolve into vague, shimmering shadows. It evokes a sense of the lonely grandeur of a bygone era, frozen in contrast to the relentless, fast-paced movement of the modern night.
This painting can be hung on the wall of your apartment, home, office, restaurant, or hotel, and will make a wonderful addition to your interior.
