Работа написана под впечатлением поездки на Кавказ в 2010 году. После трудного перехода на Австрийские ночёвки, который занял примерно день, один из участников моего отделения сел и закурил. Перед ним открывался вид на Безенгийскую стену. У меня в голове родилась фраза "Пусть весь мир подождёт...". Суета жизни, проблемы они где-то там, внизу, а здесь время замирает на фоне величия гор.
Впоследствии написал картину с одноимённым названием.
