Ilgiz Murtazin is a Moscow‑based artist with an extraordinary journey. Born in 1967 in the town of Bugulma, he earned an engineering degree from Bauman Moscow State Technical University and remained an avid art enthusiast for many years. But about 25 years ago, he picked up a brush and embarked on his own creative path – one that now boasts over 400 works in oil and acrylic.
Today, his paintings adorn private collections not only in Russia but also in Germany, Italy, Japan, France, Brazil, and China. He is a member of the Union of Russian Artists, the Eurasian Art Union, and, since 2026, the International Union of Animal Artists.
“My work is a journey of exploration, experimentation, and the constant attempt to express my ideas and emotions through painting. I never limit myself to a single style or genre,” the artist shares.
The evening at Senpolia was a true immersion into the tropics. Guests admired works from the artist’s celebrated series, including “Tropikana,” “Jungle 1,” and “Jungle 2,” along with other pieces that burst with color and the atmosphere of exotic resorts.
Each painting is more than an image – it tells a story about unique places where nature reveals itself in all its glory. Lush greens, ocean blues, and golden tropical sunlight make viewers feel as if they’ve stepped onto a remote island paradise.
Special attention was drawn to Murtazin’s botanical abstraction – contemporary interior art that blends seamlessly into any space. The edges of the canvases are painted, allowing them to be hung without frames, giving a light, modern look.
