Irina Moskaleva was born in Orenburg in 1965. Her childhood was spent in Kazakhstan, and her youth in the city of Togliatti. The wildlife of Kazakhstan influenced the development of her artistic perception of the world. The magic of self-expression through pictorial creativity captivated her more than any other childhood hobbies. The young artist spent all her free time with an album in her hands, immersing herself in a parallel world for hours on end. By the time she reached adulthood, a clear desire had formed to dedicate her future to art. In 1983, Irina graduated with honors from the Gomel Art School. After working for some time as an artist at a publishing house in Togliatti, she felt an irresistible urge to continue her studies. This was fulfilled in 1987 when she enrolled at the St. Petersburg Art College named after V.A. Serov in the painting department. From 1992 to 1999, she continued her education at the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, specializing in monumental painting under the mentorship of Professor A.A. Mylnikov. Her fresco sketch "The Tsar's Bride" for the Ethnographic Museum became her thesis, earning excellent marks and praise from the Council. Currently, the diploma is housed in the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow. In 1999, the artist won the St. Petersburg competition for students, graduate students, young scientists, and specialists in the category "Muses of St. Petersburg." That same year, Irina Moskaleva was awarded a state personal scholarship as a young specialist. The year 2000 marked her admission to the Union of Artists of Russia. Irina Moskaleva works with equal passion in the genres of landscape, still life, portrait, and composition. Her impressionistic style remains consistent throughout. Over her productive career, she has held many solo, all-Union, and international exhibitions. The artist's paintings are held in State Museums of Russia and in private collections in Finland, France, the USA, China, Germany, and other countries.
