Irina Laskova — a contemporary Russian artist and designer from the southern Moscow region. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
Throughout different periods of her creative life, the artist worked as a painter on wood and porcelain, decorated furniture, walls, and clothing, sewed clothes based on her own design projects, worked as a graphic designer for 17 years (including 10 years as head of the design department), created illustrations, logos, and developed packaging design.
At a certain point in her life, Irina realized that she did not feel creatively fulfilled and made a conscious decision to leave her employed work and pursue the path of an independent creator.
Since 2021, Irina Laskova has been creating paintings using her own unique technique on wood, having developed a recognizable personal style at the intersection of graphics and design. Her style was greatly influenced by her education as a wood painter, the art of the Renaissance era, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco.
The artist has won numerous awards and prizes in prestigious international competitions, participated in group and solo exhibitions, her works regularly appear in exhibition catalogs, and her paintings are held in private collections in Russia and abroad.
Irina Laskova’s distinctive art is dedicated to the sensual, intricately arranged world of a woman, her desire to understand herself in this endlessly changing world. Her refined female images combine graphic rigor and inspired poetry, inner strength and femininity.
In 2025, the premiere of the documentary film about her work, “I Found Myself,” took place, directed by Olesya Akinfeeva, chief editor of the OTV-Serpukhov channel.
