My name is Larisa Lavrova. I am a full-time artist, who can’t imagine a day without painting. My experience with oil painting is about 18 years.

I came to oil painting through a circuitous route, having drawn for most of my life and eventually being re-introduced to painting as my preferred medium to create my work. It was a long way to find my style of painting. Inspiration and process: i love experimenting and want to give my artworks an individual expression. Every painting is one of a kind work , in which i try to combine feelings, thought, styles, techniques. These create, add depth and harmonize colors, and whole artwork. I like to play with light on canvas. My artworks are colourful and bright. I work most of time with oil, but i also mix oil with acrylic. In my work, I aim to capture the exhilaration or the thrill of the moment and translate that onto the canvas. I always try to present an ethereal dreamlike quality to the work, emphasizing a fleeting, heartbeat in time.
I look deep into myself, into the world surrounding me. I am fond of nature, i try to see it on a deep way. I do not feel separation on the basis of gender, age, religion, nationality. My adventure to South India made me openminded.
