This is a picture of France, more exactly of South-Eastern Provence with lavender fields. A wheat / corn field is in the foreground.
Symbols, I wanted them, and for the sake of parable – I undertook a fundamental departure from realism, yet maintaining a realistic image on the face of it. Geometric minimalism in figurative art, that’s what this painting is in fact!
