And the evening sketches! When fishermen turn into dark silhouettes against the flaming water, when the last sunlight plays on the lines, creating the feeling that they are connected directly to the sun itself ... In these works, Lukashuk reveals to us a simple and great truth: a Volga fisherman is not just a man with a fishing rod. These are: a philosopher contemplating eternity in circles on the water, a poet listening to the music of the current, an artist drawing invisible worlds with his fishing line. So, through a simple fishing motif, Lukashuk tells us about the main thing — about the unity of man and nature, about the meditative beauty of waiting, about the authentic life that continues outside the hustle and bustle of big cities, where the Volga water splashes and the rowlocks of an old boat creak..
