In the watercolor “Playing with the Wind,” I tried to convey the movement and power of the sea, inspired by the romantic waves of Aivazovsky. The central wave and the seagulls in the distance—all of them play with the wind, catching its mood. For me, this is a symbol of freedom, energy, and life. The light on the horizon adds a feeling of hope and tranquility after the storm.
In my works, I don’t use white paint or any paints that contain white pigment. All the white areas are simply the paper. I personally tested all my paints for lightfastness, so the colors will remain unchanged even after 50–70 years.
