I created this picture for several months. Last summer I made sketches, sketches in my village house. It was the pre-assembled material that served as the basis for the future canvas. Then I made a charcoal drawing of the same size as the future work on canvas. When I make a preparatory drawing, I do it tonally, drawing details in detail. After that, I transfer the image to the canvas. I don't just prime the canvas, most often I do imprematura with umber, it's easier to work with. Further, I painted this work in horisail, that is, I prescribe shadows and light using one paint. When the first layer was dry, I started painting. This method allows you to keep the shadows transparent, and the light dial pasty. Of course, I was inspired by the old masters, such as Rembrandt, for this method.
