This original work «Self-sufficient Object» was created by contemporary artist Alexander Berdyshev and is available for purchase online.
Alexander Berdyshev's painting «Self-sufficient Object» is an intense dialogue between geometric precision and textural degradation. The composition is divided into two sharp zones: the upper, dark and structural, and the lower, light and cracked.
In the upper part, a bright constructivist object dominates, assembled from black, white, and accent raspberry planes. Embedded within it is a staircase receding into depth, creating the illusion of infinite ascent or descent. Thin white lines piercing the form, like force fields or mathematical vectors, emphasize the artificiality and closed nature of this structure. Above it is a thin rod with a ball at the end, resembling an antenna or plumb line.
The lower part of the canvas is a field of chaos: dry cracked earth, a symbol of decay or stagnation. This contrasting base deprives the «object» of support in the usual sense, asserting its self-sufficiency. Berdyshev explores the theme of the isolation of an idea in a collapsing world. The object, confined within the boundaries of its logic, exists independently of the instability surrounding it.
This painting can be hung on the wall in your apartment, house, office, restaurant, or hotel, and it will become a wonderful decoration for your interior.
