"The Structure of Lyricism" is not just a painting, but a multilayered artistic project in which painting becomes only the first point of entry. At the center of the work is the image of Sergey Alexandrovich Yesenin, one of the greatest Russian poets, whose words still pulse in cultural memory like the living fabric of time.

In Antonio Lebedef’s interpretation, Yesenin appears not as a frozen historical portrait but as an act of rebirth and simultaneous manifestation across eras. The poet seems to tear his shirt and soul into shreds, capturing inner rupture, pain, love, and passion through a lettered code. The text in the painting becomes visual matter—it forms the image of Russian nature, its spirit, vastness, and primordial power. Every line is imbued with love—for the land, for the word, for life lived on the edge of feeling.

However, the canvas is only the first level of the project. The next stage was a large-scale mural version of the work, created by the artist on the territory of the Izmailovo Kremlin. The painting went beyond the canvas, occupying the architectural space of the city and transforming into a visual marker of cultural memory.

Work on the project continued with archival research: the artist discovered a rare record with the authentic voice of Sergey Yesenin reading the poem "Confession of a Hooligan." This historical sound became the foundation for the next, key layer of the project—a mixed-reality installation realized in Moscow at the Yesenin Museum.

A large-scale wooden sculpture was created—a volumetric copy of the image from the painting. At the moment when a viewer pointed their smartphone at the object, the sculpture "came to life": it began to move and recite the poem in the poet’s real voice. A rare effect of presence occurred—a meeting with Yesenin not as a monument, but as a living, breathing voice through time.

The installation existed in the urban space of Moscow for two years, after which it disappeared, leaving behind a myth, a memory, and a trace in the consciousness of viewers. Like authentic poetry, it did not remain fixed forever in material form but dissolved, continuing to live in the experience of those who witnessed it.

"The Structure of Lyricism" is an exploration of the nature of word, memory, and cultural code. The project is about how poetry can transcend the boundaries of the book, the canvas, and the era, transforming into a living, multidimensional organism that continues to speak—even centuries later.
