The artist creates a grotesque and memorable image that simultaneously makes you smile and think about complex issues.
The canvas depicts two people. One is kneeling on a high pole and looking into the distance through some kind of device, and the other is sitting below and making something, as if helping the first one “expand his horizons”. Their faces simultaneously express concentration, enthusiasm and, perhaps, some naivety. They seem to sincerely believe that their efforts will lead to some significant result.
