Эта картина была написана в Москве в 2022 году. Название картины Salvia, что по латыни означает Шалфей, имеет для меня двойное значение. Первое это сама этимология слова salvia, которая отсылает нас к канонической теме спасения "Salva me", идущей из хоралов средневековья. Второе это сам запах шалфея, который вызывает во мне целый ряд разнообразных ассоциаций, не поддающихся вербальному выражению.
