The history of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity on Pyatnitskaya Street (in Vishnyaki) begins in the 17th century. It was first mentioned in 1642 as a wooden church located in a streltsy settlement. In 1678, the streltsy of the "Matveyevsky Prikaz Vishnyaki" rebuilt it from wood to stone in memory of comrades who died during the siege of Chyhyryn.
In the early 19th century, the Trinity Church was completely rebuilt with funds from merchant Semyon Loginovich Lepeshkin, whose estate was located opposite the church. The temple was ready for consecration, but it was not consecrated before Napoleon's invasion. After the French left, the church had to be repaired.
In 1826, a new beautiful bell tower in the classical style was added to the church.
