The history of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity on Pyatnitskaya Street (in Vishnyaki) begins in the 17th century. It was first mentioned in 1642 as a wooden one located in the streletsky settlement. And in 1678, the archers of the "Matveyevsky Order of Vishnyakov" rebuilt it in stone in memory of the comrades who died during the siege of Chigirin.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the Trinity Church was completely rebuilt with the money of the merchant Semyon Longinovich Lepeshkin, whose estate was located opposite the church. The temple was ready for consecration, but they did not manage to consecrate the temple before the invasion of Napoleon. After the French left, the church had to be repaired.
In 1826, a new beautiful bell tower in the classical style was added to the church.
