Dispute and conflict are the companions of
humanity for all times. Therefore, the style of
the genre scene is deliberately immersed in the
archaic wilds. Figures are naked: no clothes = no
reference to the epoch = the situation of dispute
is archetypal. The characters' plasticity resembles
characters of Ancient Egypt or the Bible. A mental
eclipse gives rise to a dispute-duel, but the hosts
of heaven manage to turn on a loving heart by
the weapons of flowers (a symbol of love). The
hostile «pistols» are discharged, the arrows of hate
are melted, the poison is turned into medicine.
Chinese hexagrams are used on the central
vertical: at the top «discord, dispute» (No 38);
below — «flourishing, harmony» (No 11). A
diamond placed in the middle is a field for playing
tic-tac-toe: either a win or a loss, but most often a
draw. This means truce, peace, harmony!
