Dispute and conflict have accompanied humanity throughout all times. Therefore, the style of the genre scene is deliberately immersed in archaic thickets. The figures are nude: no clothing = no attachment to an era = the dispute situation is archetypal.
The plasticity of the characters resembles images from Ancient Egypt or the Bible. The mental eclipse gives rise to a dispute-duel, but the masters of the heavens manage to activate the loving heart using the weapon of flowers (a symbol of love). The hostile «guns» are unloaded, the arrows of hatred melted, the poison turned into medicine.
Chinese hexagrams are used on the central vertical: at the top — «discord, dispute» (No. 38); at the bottom — «prosperity, harmony» (No. 11). The diamond placed in the middle serves as a tic-tac-toe field: either victory or defeat, but most often a draw. This signifies a truce, peace, harmony!
