The artist's idea in the painting… The ocean is the largest living entity on Earth. Its waters embrace all lands, its moisture nourishes all living beings, and it is home to thousands of species of marine animals and fish. Its depths conceal great secrets—traces of ancient civilizations and the remains of ancient ships. We who live on the planet now are not yet able to uncover all these secrets... but we have the opportunity to come to its shore at sunset and hear its voice in the sound of the surf, its heart in the rhythm of the waves, its breath in the flow of the wind. It speaks to us endlessly, ceaselessly caressing our ears, revealing its secrets.
The painting is created using a multi-layer technique with thin layers of oil paint, which allows for the creation of three-dimensional volume and the glow of the lower layers of paint through the transparent upper layers. The work on the painting took several weeks to allow complete drying and strengthening of each previous layer.
The sides of the painting continue the image, so there is no need to place the painting in a frame.
Made on high-quality canvas (100% linen), canvas density 330 g/m², stretched on a high-quality wooden stretcher frame. The best Russian oil paints produced in St. Petersburg were used.
I did not attach the hangers on the back side, but I will include them with the package.
The painting is accompanied by a certificate of copyright issued in Russia by the city of St. Petersburg.
