I often have dreams, but this one is the strangest in my life and has deeply impressed me.

The beginning of sleep... I’m standing inside the cab of a moving metal elevator in front of closed doors. Inside, there is a gray light, without a single hint of color. The elevator stops. The heavy doors begin to move slowly, revealing a scene my mind has never seen before...

The sky is orange with a soft ochre hue. An otherworldly landscape. The warm clay-colored soil forms gentle hills, ledges, and cliffs that frame a huge circular depression like a volcanic crater. I step out of the elevator onto one of the upper ledges, look around, and see similar gray elevator boxes standing in several places across the area.

The space around is filled with life—purple plants (or animals) shimmering with a golden glow, reflecting the light of the warm sky. The air is very dense, resembling a gel-like substance, which makes the movement of the plants appear smooth and slow.

I raise my eyes and see a few heavenly bodies, apparently satellites of that planet, differing in size and shape.

I take out my camera, realizing I’m about to capture this unreal alien landscape. I bring my eye to the lens, but it’s empty—the camera does not capture what I see.

I woke up abruptly, my body and mind in a state of excited adrenaline, with the feeling that I had just been thrown onto the bed from another world.

The painting is created using a multi-layer technique with thin layers of oil paint, allowing for three-dimensional volume and the glow of the lower layers through transparent upper layers. The work on the painting took several weeks to allow each previous layer to fully dry and strengthen.

The sides of the painting continue the image, so framing is not necessary.

Made on high-quality canvas (100% cotton), with a density of 380 g/m², stretched on a high-quality wooden stretcher frame. The best Russian oil paints produced in St. Petersburg were used.

I did not attach hangers on the back but will include them with the package.

The painting comes with a copyright certificate issued in Russia by the city of St. Petersburg.
