За основу этой картины был взят этюд с пленэра в Санкт-Петербурге на Английской набережной. В оригинале на кораблях не было флажков, но мы были там как раз в День Военно-Морского Флота. Получилось слегка мультяшно. Для меня корабельная тема особенно близка, потому что мой дедушка был моряк, даже капитан, да еще и родом из Питера. Картина получилась ко Дню Победы.
The basis for this painting was a sketch from a plein air in St. Petersburg on the English Embankment. In the original, there were no flags on the ships, but we were there just on Navy Day. The painting turned out a bit cartoonish. The ship theme is especially close to me because my grandfather was a sailor, even a captain, and also from St. Petersburg. The painting was made for Victory Day.
