This original artwork, "Composition # 191," was created by contemporary Russian artist Iskan Ilyazov and is available for purchase online.
The reference picture shows the floor of a semi-basement gallery, closed since 2018, in a Pavilion on the old Soviet VDNH exhibition grounds.
It was the most challenging hanging of my life; I started three hours before the opening and finished only 15 minutes prior. The walls were uneven; there was nothing to attach a hanging line to. I did the hanging ALONE with no assistant, driven purely by enthusiasm. I might as well donate that step-ladder to a museum—I climbed it up and down over 100 times—but at the end of the ordeal, all the pictures hung perfectly. It was hell for me. Having learned the hard way at that solo exhibition, I can now hang anything anywhere in any quantity, no problem!
That solo exhibition took place in a Stalinist Empire style pavilion on the VDNH exhibition grounds. Only ten people managed to get through the notorious Moscow rush hour traffic jams to that remote location, and then they walked another kilometer through ankle-deep rain puddles from the VDNH gates to the pavilion—in the middle of nowhere.
All my solo exhibitions have been successful. It is not the location that determines success; it is the artist’s personality, talent, and drive!
Only ten guests made it to the northern entrance of the vast VDNH grounds, but what people they were on the first night of my solo show in April 2016! Unforgettable! Here are my photos of that Pavilion, the floor, and the guests’ feet.
Now back to the painting. The focal point of the picture is a black dot. A dot on paper rests on a piece of paper; a dot on canvas rests on the canvas. But what about a point in the Universe? Is the point standing, lying, or floating? What is its condition, its position at a given time? There is no way to explain this by applying the laws of classical physics. This situation is called Quantum Magic.
You can hang this painting on the wall in your apartment, house, office, restaurant, or hotel, and it will become a beautiful decoration for your interior.
