I was impressed by this message from the news feed and immediately did an oil painting with my favorite Maimeri Classico paints – the paints were Italian and Mount Etna is in Italy!
I finished the painting on January 6, 2016.
"In Italy in 2015, a series of eruptions of Europe's tallest volcano Mount Etna took place. It was accompanied by powerful ash emissions from the southeastern side of the slope and lava from the western side.
Etna is located on the island of Sicily; the mountain reaches a height of 3,328 meters and is considered to be the most active and largest of the active volcanoes in Europe. The previous eruption occurred on December 3, 2015; the volcano has erupted about 200 times in total."
