These sunflowers were created during plein air at the village "Prislonikha". Once upon a time a famous artist Arkady Plastov lived and worked in this village. This still life was staged in the courtyard of his studio. The artist was always attracted by sunflowers. He was always drawn to their interesting and almost calligraphic form. This humble planet was not considered flower -not untill Vincent Van Gogh put it in a vase. And now this flower turns to sun and it symbolizes sun because it is indeed similar to sun.
