The series «Modern Alchemy» is about transforming emotions and aspirations into Light. Gold and silver reflect the energy of the inner world, and each brushstroke becomes a step toward harmony.
The art of A. Dolyuba and K. Sher combines sensuality and philosophy, turning painting into a personal ritual of transformation.
The painting «Cheshire Cat» is a visual metaphor of the duality of perception, a play between the visible and the hidden, between the earthly and the illusory.
At first glance, we see a bright, almost fairy-tale space filled with movement and soft light. At the center of the composition is a fantastic plant with bright scarlet blossoms, as if brought to life from a dream. Its living, predatory forms symbolize passion, movement, and the energy of the subconscious.
Below and above the composition are the heads of two cats:
the golden one — earthly, a symbol of joy, warmth, and material presence; and the upside-down silver cat — a reflection, like in the mirror of dreams, a sign that every light has a shadow, and every reality has its reflection.
The painting is about the balance between light and shadow, the earthly and the reflected. The heads of the two cats — golden and silver — become symbols of the dual nature of existence: joy and irony, dream and reality. And the «Cheshire Cat» is a smile between worlds, left at the boundary of reality and imagination.
«Let’s cut off his head! He has nothing but a head...».
