Painting "Odin"
35000 €
The supreme god in German-Scandinavian mythology, the father and leader of the aces, the son of Bora and Bestla, the grandson Buri. Sage and shaman, connoisseur of runes and tales, tsar-priest, warrior sorcerer, god of war and victory, patron saint of the military aristocracy, master of Valhalla and lord of the Valkyries.
In this work, the artist, inspired by reading sag and legends, tried to display a general picture of the vision of the theme. In Norse mythology, Geri and Freka are two wolves who accompany the god Odin. In ancient Icelandic, Geri means "greedy," and Freki means "grumpy."
Hugin and Munin are a pair of ravens in Norse mythology who fly around the world and inform the god Odin about what is happening. In ancient Icelandic, Huginn means "thinking," and Muninn means "remembering" (or "thought" and "memory," respectively).
