This original work, «Soul Crystal», was created by contemporary Russian artist Anna Selina.
The Soul Crystal is a visualization of the invisible energies that enliven our inner life. The swirling colored ribbons of the painting — pink, purple, turquoise, cobalt, lemon, and violet — resemble streams of feelings, memories, and intentions moving within a unified field. Where the outer edges are expansive and free, the center crystallizes into a concentrated core, a metaphor for the essential aspect of our «self» — the part of us that remains clear when we overcome life’s storms.
The sparkling specks in the center resemble a crystalline lattice that captures and refracts light just as awareness refracts experience into insight. Technically, the work is a fusion of fluid acyclic color and precise, almost mineral geometry, achieved by applying layers of acrylic paint with smooth strokes and adding pearlescent or metallic accents. The result is a surface that changes depending on the distance and viewing angle, inviting prolonged contemplation and meditative interpretation.
