I am sharing with you the story of my new series of works, which I dedicate to elephants for a reason.
For me, elephants are a kind of conversation with childhood, a transfer to the carefree atmosphere of a small but already aspiring artist.
Since early childhood, I have drawn and sculpted elephants from clay a lot.
These majestic and wise animals have been and remain a great mystery to me, a great wonder of our beautiful planet.
Recently, I came across my childhood sculptures and drawings, and I was so overwhelmed with memories of childhood that I decided to share my feelings in a new series of works featuring elephants.
I also remembered my participation in the children's and youth drawing exhibition "Africa Fights, Africa Builds," which took place in Moscow in 1986-1987.
Now, working on the elephant series, I feel the carefreeness and freedom of childhood with every fiber of my soul. I hope that the vivid execution of the series will transport you to an atmosphere of serenity and unconditional happiness.
