"Лавка архитектора" рядом с Архитектурной академией в Москве– часть ансамбля, построенной в 1772 году усадьбы графа Ивана Воронцова. Этот флигель был реконструирован в 1904 по проекту архитектора Ф. Шехтеля в стиле модерн, как зал для выставки работ студентов Строгановского училища, которое располагалось в то время в главном здании усадьбы, т. е. в стенах нынешнего Архитектурного института. После 1917 года Строгановское училище. как таковое, перестает существовать и в зданиях располагаются Первые свободные государственные художественные мастерские, впоследствии ВХУТЕМАС, а с 1933 года – Московский Архитектурный институт.
