The shape of the building seems to include features of a piano and a gramophone: on one side of the house is attached a megaphone, and the roof repeats the curves of the instrument's lid. At the very top of the house sits a thoughtful character with a lyrical expression on his face, as if listening to the whisper of autumn leaves and the melody coming from this fairy-tale building. His palm is at his ear, and behind, in gentle yellow-warm tones, are depicted autumn trees and houses of the town, drowning in golden light. Falling leaves, musical notes, hanging ladders - everything is subordinated to one thoughtful theme: the melody of autumn sounds in every corner of the picture. The composition seems to invite the viewer to stop, listen to the harmony of nature and feel the coziness of this time of year.
