The end of August and the beginning of September mark the peak of lotus blooming. In search of the colors and atmosphere created by lotus lakes, I embarked on an exciting journey through southern Russia.
Before my eyes unfolded a scene for a new painting: a lake of blooming lotuses. An amazing canvas of yellow and green shades is complemented by peach, pink, and cream accents – the lotus flowers.
During blooming, this remarkable flower always faces the sun, which I tried to capture on the canvas.
