This original work, "Merger," was created by contemporary Russian artist Olga Bezhina.
In this piece, I combined the world of the big city, with its lights, advertisements, and the vividness of artificial hues, with the natural world: the river, the shore, the seagulls. Two textures, two dynamics, and two color characters are separated by a bridge — immutable and man-made, something created and controlled by humans.
Although I focus exclusively on the color tone of the environment and use it to reinterpret the surrounding nature, in this work I show the role of humans, for whom today absolutely everything is comprehensible.
