I created this still life last year, in my opinion it personifies the bloody times, the abyss of events that swallowed us. The center of the composition is a severed salmon head. The fish looks at us with empty, dead eyes, its mouth is helplessly open, the knife is pointed directly at it. But there is still hope that these times will pass. A symbol of hope and purity, as well as good news, are white lilies, as we remember in Christianity it is white lilies that are often in the hands of the Mother of God. Also, this still life has features of our time - a glass with a straw and Hello Kitty and our favorite avacado. The still life is painted on a calm gray background, I was inspired by my favorite artist Edouard Manet.
