This original artwork "From and To" was created by the contemporary Russian artist Oleg Osipov .
Here is a painting consisting of two contrasting parts: black and white. The left part is made in a rich black color with a barely perceptible shine, in the center is a white dot, from which rays diverge, reminiscent of a web or broken glass. The right part is a mirror image: a white canvas, in the center of which is a black dot, from which similar rays-fabrics also radiate.
The work symbolizes the eternal opposition and unity of opposites: light and darkness, positive and negative, day and night. The central dots connect both fields, like cores of meanings, giving birth to movement and energy around themselves. The composition evokes thoughts about balance and harmony in the continuous dialogue of opposites, as well as about the fragility of the world, where one slightest impact - and the fabric of reality cracks, revealing a new depth of meanings.
