First, I sketched a study, made an underpainting, and then painted the work from life. I showed how different architectural eras blend together. The old bridge, Kiev railway station, and behind them the massive spires of Moscow-City. I tried to convey an optimistic mood through the decorative color palette (they are like that in real life).
