This original painting «Olympia or a room with orange balls» was created by contemporary artist Dina Tsypina and is available for online purchase in our gallery.
Olympia is a surreal homage to Manet's work. In the original, the maid brought a bouquet of flowers. Here, instead of the maid, there is a robot holding a towel.
Instead of a black cat, there is an orange dog. The orange balls create a mood of joy,
and the mess left by a celebration.
The girl does not part with her phone even in the bathroom. Meanwhile, a flying saucer is already visible outside the window.
On the wall hangs art from the past – a ready-made by Maurizio Cattelan «Comedian» – a banana with tape. The banana is a kind of mirror in which, in the era of social media, everyone will see their own reflection.
