This original work, «Series Kremlin 2/3», was created by contemporary Russian artist Vyacheslav Gayun and is available for purchase online.
The second part of Vyacheslav Gayun’s trilogy about the Kremlin, «Series Kremlin 2/3», continues a style reminiscent of ancient manuscripts and decorative art. While the first part focused mainly on the fortress walls, here the emphasis shifts to the cathedral architecture and the panorama above it.
As in the first work, the image is stylized and placed on a background that imitates aged, uneven parchment, framed in dark burgundy. This gives the piece a timeless, ahistorical character.
The painting presents a dense ensemble of towers and temples. The Kremlin walls recede into the background, yielding to white-stone chambers and numerous richly decorated cathedrals. Golden domes and multi-tiered spires dominate the upper part of the composition, creating a sense of wealth and spiritual power. Gayun employs techniques similar to icon painting, where perspective serves expressiveness.
Particularly notable is the abundance of greenery: trees and shrubs densely fill the space between buildings, painted in rich shades, sometimes transitioning to emerald and even golden hues. This lush greenery softens the harshness of the brick walls and emphasizes the contrast between the earthly (walls) and the heavenly (domes). «Series Kremlin 2/3» is a decorative ode to the heart of Moscow, captured in a magical, eternal glow.
This painting can be hung on the wall in your apartment, house, office, restaurant, or hotel, and it will become a wonderful decoration for your interior.
