We, the gods…
«What if it was not the most refined, but the most brutal civilizations that left their mark on human history? …And who has seen this? Who knows for sure? I found only one answer: God or gods, provided, of course, that he or they exist…» Bernard Werber.
A series in which I visualize impressions from Bernard Werber’s novel and the classical myths of Ancient Greece. Starting from a local color spot, I let the color lead me. I continue working with a symbiosis of abstraction and classical Renaissance imagery.
I strive to achieve the maximum effect of corporeality by layering many glazes of acrylic paint. The addition of abstract details emphasizes the corporeality of the depicted characters.
You can buy the painting 'Caría' online, sized 100 x 100 cm, with secure delivery to the address you specify.
