In my works, I explore the fluctuations between the internal and external, the personal and collective, the community system and the subject system, as well as the pathways of interpenetration and fragmentation of images. I present my series "Hide and Seek," which investigates the idea of "voluntary mimicry" that we inevitably undergo in everyday life. I convey not meanings, but prisms—optical distortions themselves, belonging to the eye and perception. I discard traditional distinctions between image and background, trusting the viewer to use the reason for doubt in any way to arrive at their own conclusion. Everything in this world is not always what it seems at first glance.
The work is created on premium quality linen canvas using an original technique with acrylic, watercolor pencils, and oil. Entirely handmade. Gallery stretcher bars, with 4 cm edges that continue the painting.
