Art for Interiors: A Collection That Will Inspire Designers

Modern interiors stopped being just a set of furniture and finishing materials a long time ago. Today, walls are a way to express yourself, and a painting is not just decor but the semantic and emotional center of a space. That is why at Baranow Art we created a new section — “Art for Interiors.” This is a carefully curated selection of works by contemporary Russian artists that will help designers find ready-made visual solutions for residential and public spaces.

Why Art Has Become a Strategic Tool in Design

In 2025–2026, the interior solutions market is undergoing a noticeable shift: minimalism is giving way to expressiveness, texture, and handcrafted quality. Flat “decorative” posters are becoming a thing of the past — they are being replaced by painting with character.

For a designer, this means one thing: the client expects not a “picture to go above the sofa” but a work that will support the interior concept.

A Curatorial Perspective: How We Built the Collection

We approached the selection not as a list of names but as a dialogue between painting and space. The collection features works by Dmitry Syrov, Alexander Lebedev, Alexander Berdyshev, Alexander Beridze, Vadim Stolyarov,   Slava Gayun, Vera Basova, Marina Venediktova and another —  these are only some of the names we recommend to designers. But the main point is not the names; it is how each work interacts with the wall, light, and viewer.

We looked for works with a strong visual language and the ability to become the center of an interior. Among them are expressive abstraction, philosophical metaphor, and textured compositions. Some works are built on color and dynamics; others on depth and contemplation. They share one thing: they do not simply decorate a space — they set its emotional tone.

What to Look for in Interior Painting Right Now

Based on 2025–2026 trends, pay attention to:

- Warm earthy and deep tones — they create a sense of stability and comfort.
- Large format — one work covering an entire wall has more impact than a gallery of small pieces.
- Textured techniques — texture paste, mixed media, dimensional elements.
- Organic and natural motifs — soft lines that evoke a sense of naturalness.

Visit the new “Art for Interiors” section on the Baranow Art website and find the work that will become the heart of your next project. We are open to dialogue and ready to help with selection, adaptation, and presentation.
