Baranow Art at the “Russian House” Exhibition: Three Artists Whose Works Are Collected Worldwide

From October 7 to 9, the Baranow Art Gallery will present a curated exhibition featuring three artists at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor: Vyacheslav Gayun, Igor Terekhin, and Walerij Baranow. This is more than just a painting display; it is a dialogue with collectors and gallery owners in the language of the international art market.

For art professionals, both the name and the context matter. Baranow Art Gallery is an international online gallery founded by artist Walerij Baranow. Vyacheslav Gayun: Painting that Sells and Remains in Collections

Vyacheslav Gayun was born in the village of Marchugi near Moscow. His path into art began at the Moscow State Pedagogical University, followed by professional training in the studio of M. B. Grekov under the guidance of Pavel Boyko. Since 1989, he has actively participated in exhibitions both in Russia and abroad. Today, Gayun lives and works in Moscow, is a member of the Union of Artists, and collaborates with architectural bureaus in France and the Netherlands. His works are held in private collections worldwide, including those of Vladimir Presnyakov, Igor and Oksana Butman, Tatyana Drubich, Guus Hiddink, and other renowned collectors. Gayun is a name that needs no lengthy introduction. His oil painting, sensuality, vibrant colors, and extensive exhibition history make his work accessible for both private interiors and art collections. His works are particularly sought after in major international art hubs across Asia, Europe, and other regions, proving the genuine interest in the Russian culture and art he so worthily represents.

Igor Terekhin: Tradition as a Bridge to the Future

Igor Ivanovich Terekhin is a Moscow-based artist born in 1968. His biography is an example of how creative freedom can span various fields: design, graphics, marketing, ceramics, stained glass, and Russian folk crafts. After graduating from the Moscow Art College, he became a certified master in ceramics, folk arts, and stained glass. Igor is a member of the Eurasian Art Union. His works bridge a deep respect for heritage with a contemporary visual language. There is no superficial stylization here: every detail is filled with meaning and emotion. The artist himself says: “Art is eternal movement. Even in stasis, there is life, if you put your soul into it.” For a collector, Terekhin is interesting precisely because of his multi-layered approach. His painting offers the viewer a journey—to the roots, into space, into the depths of the subconscious, or dreams. This is art that works both in a private collection and in a modern interior space, where not only the image but also the material, texture, and energy are important.

Walerij Baranow: Artist, Collector, Gallerist, and Author of MISSION 301

Walerij Baranow is the founder of Baranow Art Gallery, an artist, and the initiator of international art projects. His biography is a curatorial statement in itself: born in Krasnaya Sloboda, he lived in Israel, Austria, and Russia. Each of these cultures left a mark on his work. For many years, Baranow was involved in business (construction and real estate) but never lost his dream of becoming an artist. He developed his own style and learned from prominent masters, including Daniel Fuchs, son of the Viennese Fantastic Realist Ernst Fuchs, and Matvey Dergachev.

Today, Walerij Baranow is known not only as an artist but also as the creator of international platforms:

But his main project is MISSION 301  — “Truth Through Art.” Inspired by Gustave Doré’s biblical illustrations, Baranow conceived a 21st-century Bible: 299 selected artists from approximately 80 countries are collaborating to create 301 monumental works. He is personally responsible for the entire exhibition, connecting the beginning and the end of this unique project.

Baranow’s painting is already featured in solo exhibitions and held in international private collections. His works are distinguished by emotional depth, narrative power, and a fusion of classical techniques with a contemporary visual language.
