Pavel Vesyolkin — an artist from the city of Ranenburg, who proves that genuine art depends neither on age nor geography. At 82 years old, he continues to work with astonishing creative dedication, presenting new works every year at regional, provincial, and all-Russian exhibitions. An honored artist of the Lipetsk region, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Art Foundation, he has held more than 35 solo exhibitions in a dozen Russian cities, and his paintings are held in private collections abroad. The artist's talent has also been recognized beyond Russia: among Pavel Vesyolkin’s awards is the New York Realism gold medal in the category of “Impressionism.”
The world of Pavel Vesyolkin is not built on artificial concepts or fashionable declarations: it grows from his native land, from Russian nature and the everyday life of a small provincial town, from the sunset over the river, from the snowy caps on the trees, the silence of the night fields, the country road, the apple orchard – all of this under the master’s brush transforms into vivid, breathing painting in the traditions of Russian Impressionism.
