Irina Lang is an expressionist artist whose originality uniquely distinguishes her in the Samara art scene.
The artist was born in Samara. She studied architecture and design. She has devoted the last fifteen years of her life to painting. She is actively involved in educational artistic activities, having established the ArtCherdak studio within her own studio. The artist exhibits both in Russia and abroad: the Naked Nature exhibition, London; ArtQuest, Turkey; Pavlodar Regional Art Museum named after Nagimbek Nurmukhammedov, Kazakhstan;
multimedia exhibition, Dubai. The author’s works are held in private collections of Russian and international collectors.
The artist’s painting style combines features of expressionism and impressionism, reinterpreted in a contemporary spirit and realized in a distinctive pictorial-sensual manner, infused with incredible
energy. The artist’s favorite genres are still lifes and flower arrangements, complemented by bright, cheerful landscapes. She creates large-format canvases that are spectacular and powerful. The author draws inspiration from the most ordinary things around us, yet the ordinariness on her canvases transforms into resonant, emotionally charged images that create a beautiful new reality for everyone. The artist instills beauty where it did not exist before. The main character of Irina Lang’s paintings is color – radiant, intense, sometimes pushed to its maximum expressiveness. Bold colors, a broad, free, and very energetic painting style – these are what distinguish the artist’s creative approach. The rich palette of color nuances is mesmerizing. Irina’s painting is a celebration of color and light, a glorification of love for life in all its variability and diversity. Here, on these canvases, it is as if joy itself is captured.
Irina Lang: “My paintings are full of colors and light. I believe that Beauty conquers destruction and chaos, drives out darkness, and art is that magic potion that gives a person the opportunity to soar above the ordinariness of everyday life.”
